1) physical reality of objects: concrete highways, iron\u00a0 automobiles, cellulose trees, humanoids, etc.
\n2) The world of symbols, concepts, process control system flowcharts, biochemistry diagrams,\u00a0 math and physics equations, etc.<\/p>\n

James Clerk Maxwell<\/b> FRS<\/a> FRSE<\/a><\/span> (13 June 1831\u00a0\u2013 5 November 1879) was a Scottish[2]<\/a><\/sup>[3]<\/a><\/sup> mathematical physicist<\/a>.[4]<\/a><\/sup> His most notable achievement was to formulate the classical theory of electromagnetic radiation<\/a>, bringing together for the first time electricity<\/a>, magnetism<\/a>, and light<\/a> as manifestations of the same phenomenon. Maxwell’s equations<\/a> for electromagnetism have been called the “second great unification in physics”[5]<\/a><\/sup> after the first one realised by Isaac Newton<\/a>.<\/p>\n

With the publication of A Dynamical Theory of the Electromagnetic Field<\/a><\/i> in 1865, Maxwell demonstrated that electric<\/a> and magnetic fields<\/a> travel through space as waves<\/a> moving at the speed of light<\/a>. Maxwell proposed that light<\/a> is in fact undulations in the same medium that is the cause of electric and magnetic phenomena.[6]<\/a><\/sup> The unification of light and electrical phenomena led to the prediction of the existence of radio waves<\/a>.<\/p>\n
